UW-River Falls to Cut Ribbon at New Hudson Center
Sept. 17, 2010--The UW-River Falls Hudson Center will officially open its doors on Sept. 29 from 4-5 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and open house. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls invites the public to attend and tour the new facility.
“We view the Hudson Center as a partnership with the Hudson area community, and we are excited for community members to see the new learning spaces and understand what is offered at the Center, especially for adult learners,” says Chancellor Dean Van Galen. “UW-River Falls already has many connections to Hudson. Hudson High School is our leading source of incoming freshmen, and many of our faculty and staff call Hudson their home. However, we want to become more engaged with the community, working with the school district, businesses, and others to build a stronger city and region.”
The Hudson Center, located in the Carley Ponds office building at 2501 Hanley Road, serves the St. Croix Valley with a focus on undergraduate courses for non-traditional and working adults seeking to complete a baccalaureate degree, or enroll in select graduate and certificate programs.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Hudson Center at 715-381-5060 or visit http://www.uwrf.edu/hudsoncenter.
