Photography From China Subject of Talk

April 5, 2010 – Photographer Cheng Xiaobei will give a talk about her travels by bike around China at UW-River Falls from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, in the Kinnickinnic Theate in the University Center. A short reception with refreshments will follow at 2 p.m.

Xiaobei, who is also a physician, poet and writer, will talk about the village life of the rural places in her photos in her book. “Cheng Xiaobei’s Photography.”  Her photos show a side of China that isn’t in the news and not many people see or know about.  Selections from her book will be on display in the hallway next to the theater.
