8th Annual Soul Food Dinner Set for Feb. 23

The dinner (catfish, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, greens, black eyed peas, cornbread, and peach cobbler or sweet potato pie) is cooked in an old-fashioned southern way in the African tradition known as “Soul Food.” Members of the BSU created the dinner eight years ago as a way to celebrate black culture and Black History Month.
Cost is $6/general public; $5/UWRF student with id. Tickets are available at the door. Carryout is available for an additional $1 and is available from 3:45 - 4:30 p.m.
Following dinner, all are invited to North Hall auditorium at 7:30 p.m. to watch a performance by Voices of Africa. The world-renowned woman’s a cappella group will perform traditional African music using native percussion. Free admission.
