Kernahan and Lawrence-Porter Awarded Campus Reading Seminar Grants

Jan. 27, 2010 – Two Campus Reading Seminar Grants have been awarded to two UWRF staff members by the UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity.

Psychology Professor Cyndi Kernahan and Njia Lawrence-Porter, of the Academic Success Center, have been awarded Campus Reading Seminar Grants. The grants support reading groups and scholarly exchanges on subjects dealing with race, ethnicity, diversity, equity, and inclusivity by making funds available for the purchase of books that focus on such themes. Participants in the seminars may include faculty members, academic and classified staff, students, and people from the community.
