Fall Festival Concert Features RF Senior
OCT. 9, 2009 | The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will feature Tony Capparelli, a senior at the River Falls High School, in the Mendelssohn Piano Concert No. 1 in G minor on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Abbott Concert Hall of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building on campus.
Other selections include “Carmen Suite No. 1” by Georges Bizet, “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral” by Richard Wagner, “Fiddle-Faddle” by Leroy Anderson and Johann Strauss, Jr.’s “Vienna Blood Waltz.” Other soloists include Brittany Kamrath, voice; Kevin Bruggenthies, piano and Angie Nehring, piano.
UWRF music Professor Kristin Tjornehoj is the director of the 65-member orchestra, which is comprised of students and adult community members.
This concert will be repeated at the Barron Community Center in Barron on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. For tickets to the Barron event, call 715-537-6666.
