Accounting Students Attend Conference

OCT 9, 2009 | Some 25 accounting majors from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls attended the Accounting and Auditing Student Conference held at the Minneapolis Convention Center Sept. 29 to network, learn about internships and get a head-start on the job search.

The students talked with more than 50 accounting employers about their field. Among the 50 employers there were seven UWRF alumni representing their businesses or firms.

“The students benefited greatly from this conference,” said Steve DeWald, director of the Small Business Development Center and an accounting instructor at UWRF. “This gave students a chance to talk to employers in their field and get their résumé out there.”
