NxLevel Entrepreneur Course Offered

AUG. 18, 2009 | A 12-session intensive training program for entrepreneurs who want to start a business or expand their business to the next level will be offered by the Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

"NxLevel(TM) Entrepreneurs" is Tuesdays, Sept. 15 to Dec. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 318, South Hall at UWRF. The instructor is Steve DeWald, C.P.A., M.M., who is director of the SBDC at UWRF. Designed to encourage business expansion in the community, the course offers best practices for small business operations while producing a comprehensive business plan to guide expansion decisions and activities.

Entrepreneurs will learn how and when to start business planning; how to organize and better manage their business; how to identify opportunities and market their business; how and where to find funding and capital; how to write a detailed, comprehensive business plan; and how to develop a network of small business support services. The UWRF SBDC, room 128 South Hall, provides confidential business counseling to those with a business idea and those who have started a business or are thinking of expanding their business. It also counsels small business owners seeking help in resolving a business issue. There is no fee for one-on-one counseling sessions with the SBDC.
