Exhibitors sought for UWRF Career Fair
JULY 16, 2009 | The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is seeking employer participation for its 18th Annual All-Campus Career Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center Riverview Ballroom.
Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum capacity of 100 booths. Registration for participation is encouraged as soon as possible. In 2008, the Career Fair attracted nearly 1,100 students who were graduating, nearing graduation, or seeking part-time positions and internships.
“The career fair is an excellent opportunity for organizations to inform UWRF students, faculty, and staff about their company or graduate program,” says Destiny Martinez, career fair coordinator.
An early registration fee is $175 until Aug. 31; after that the fee is $200. Registration includes one booth with a table for displays, electrical power, free parking for one vehicle, one free lunch, and free refreshments throughout the day. UWRF also is offering a variety of sponsorship levels to provide organizations and companies with opportunities for publicity as well as marketing promotions associated with the career fair.
To learn more, visit the career fair Web site at: www.uwrf.edu/career/events/career_fair/sponsorship.htm For more information contact Martinez at 715-425-3572 or e-mail Martinez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To register online, please visit www.uwrf.edu/career/fair.htm. Registrants can add additional representatives attending, select meals, request electrical power for your booth, or choose to be a sponsor of the career fair. The Web site also offers information to register via mail or fax.
This year, in alignment with UWRF efforts at becoming and advocating sustainable communities, career fair participants will have the option to “purchase” a block of renewable energy from the River Falls Renewable Energy Program to help offset the environmental impact of the event.
With a 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio, UWRF has a reputation for offering quality academic programs. Students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, College of Education and Professional Studies, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Business and Economics are offered internship opportunities that are coordinated by each college.
