FEB. 9, 2009–The University of Wisconsin-River Falls art department presents its annual Art Faculty Exhibition in Gallery 101 located in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building from Feb. 12 to March 2.   An opening reception is Feb. 16 from 3 to 5 p.m., and art department faculty members will be introduced and will talk about their work.   This event is free and open to the public.

The exhibit will be a mixed-media event.   “Traditionally it's a time for the faculty to show the community as well as fellow faculty members what they have been working on,” says Michael Padgett, chair of the art department.

The exhibit also gives the faculty a chance to show their students, alumni, fellow artists and community members what they do outside of the classroom. The event happens every other year and is an exciting event for the community, students and especially the faculty, says Padgett.

Faculty members included in this exhibit are Patrice Wernlund, Lynn Jermal, Kalee Spencer, Jim Engebretson, Peter Mak, Bernice Ficek-Swenson, Randy Johnston, Morgan Clifford, David Heberlein, Rhonda Willers, and Steve Derfler.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, contact the art department at 715-425-3266.
