UWRF Art Department Presents Scholarship Art Sale

NOV. 12, 2008--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls art department presents its annual Scholarship Sale in Gallery 101, Kleinpell Fine Arts Dec. 3-10.

This popular event features one-of-a-kind artwork by current art students and faculty, alumni, retired faculty and a variety of local artisans. Selections including glass, ceramics, painting, fibers, jewelry, printmaking, photography and mixed media will be up for sale. A portion of the proceeds benefits a scholarship fund for continuing art students as well as the Art Society, a student organization.

Participating artists retain up to 70 percent of the proceeds and the balance is for scholarships and the Art Society fund. Participating artists on campus and in the community are excited to be a part of this worthy cause, according to Suzanne Zimmer of the art department. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday. For more information call the UWRF art department at 715.425.3266.
