WRFW Celebrates 40th Birthday

NOV. 3, 2008--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls journalism department will host a banquet celebrating campus radio station WRFW's 40th birthday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 in the University Center's Riverview Ballroom.

The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers and a cash bar, and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be a buffet; dietary restrictions can be accommodated at 715-425-3169. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

WRFW is an affiliate of Wisconsin Public Radio. The event is open to the public, and reservations must be received by Friday, Nov. 14. Cost is $22 per person. To reserve a spot, send a check payable to UWRF Foundation to: Sue Voelker, journalism department, UW-River Falls, 410 S. Third St., River Falls, Wis., 54022. Please make sure to include the names of attendees as well as email addresses. Phone reservations will not be accepted.
