Luncheon Workshop to Focus on Personal Energy Management

SEPT. 26, 2008--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Outreach Office, the River Falls Chamber of Commerce and Chippewa Valley Technical College will host a luncheon workshop on personal energy management in the workplace Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 129 of the RDI building on the UWRF campus.
The discussion, which is part of the Lunch 'N Learn series, will focus on how businesses can help their employees better manage their personal energy as opposed to managing their time.
Dan Burns of Chippewa Valley Technical College's Center for Performance Excellence will present the workshop. Burns provides consulting and training services to public and private organizations throughout the 11 counties served by Chippewa Valley Technical College.
Over the last 20 years, Burns has worked for companies that are industry leaders, including 3M and Cray Research. Most recently, he worked as corporate accounts manager for IDEXX Computer Systems, a division of IDEXX Laboratories.
Burns graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1992 with a degree in business administration. He received his MBA with an emphasis in organizational development from UW-Eau Claire in 1998.
