Legislative Debate to be Held at UWRF
SEPT. 22, 2008--A debate among legislative candidates running for office in west central Wisconsin will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Riverview Ballroom, University Center at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Participating will be candidates in the 10th Senate District and 30th Assembly District, which includes UWRF, as well as those seeking office in the adjoining legislative districts of the 29th and 91st Assembly districts. These include incumbent Sen. Sheila Harsdorf and Alison Page (10th Senate), Sarah Bruch and Rep. Kitty Rhoades (30th Assembly), Chris Buchel and Rep. John Murtha (29th Assembly), and Chris Danou (D), Dave Hegenbarth (R) and Paul Beseler (I) (91st Assembly).
The debate is sponsored by the Western Wisconsin Intergovernmental Collaborative, which is a consortium of all local government jurisdictions in Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties. The format will begin with questions from WWIC members, followed by those from the general public.
