Twin for a Day

SEPT. 12, 2008--Ben Fraser, assistant director of the Hunt/Knowles complex at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, of Hudson, had the honor of representing the Minnesota Twins by throwing batting practice to 350 congressmen, senators and delegates who attended the Day at the Dome charity fundraising activity at the recent Republican National Convention. Hall of Famer Paul Molitor and Minnesota Twins greats Tony Oliva and Terry Steinbach were also on hand for autographs and photos. Attendees partook in batting and fielding practice, networking and socializing opportunities and ballpark food and beverages. Proceeds went to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, a nonprofit grant-making organization that supports youth development through sports as well as to hurricane relief.
