McKnight Touring Exhibit Stops At UWRF
AUG. 29, 2008--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Gallery 101 presents the 2008 Touring Exhibition: Six McKnight Artists organized by the Northern Clay Center of Minneapolis Sept. 3 - Oct. 3. The exhibition features artwork by McKnight Foundation fellows Robert Briscoe (Minnesota), Mika Negishi Laidlaw (Minnesota), Yonghee Joo (Korea), Junko Nomura (Japan) and Nick Renshaw (Netherlands).
Gallery 101, located in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4p.m.. An opening reception, free and open to the public, is Sept. 12 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. For more information contact the UWRF Art Department at 715-425-3266.
The McKnight Foundation's Arts program has supported individual artists through fellowships since 1981. The fellowship allows an artist specific time for study, reflection, experimentation, and exploration or to take advantage of an opportunity; or work on a new project.
