"Look Back In Anger" Director Offers Comments

APRIL 4, 2008--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls University Theatre welcomes Guthrie Theatre actor Sean Dooley as director of its spring show "Look Back in Anger."
Dooley said he had a lot of reasons for choosing this play. "As the title implies, the characters are struggling through their menial existence, angry and unable to invoke real change," he said. "It's a feeling I think is prevalent with many young people today." Working with the cast of five, Dooley feels the play gives the students many wonderful opportunities to stretch and grow as actors. "It is a demanding play that will challenge all of us involved."
"Look Back in Anger" is performed in the Sanford Syse Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building, a venue that is exciting for both the director and cast.
"Getting the opportunity to work on a realistic material in the intimate Syse Theatre will be a real thrill for all involved," said Dooley. "The audience will feel themselves embroiled in the domestic turmoil, only feet from the action."
"Look Back In Anger" opens April 24, and runs April 25-26 and May 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanford Syse Theatre. For more information contact the University Box Office at 715-425-3114. Box Office hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and it is also open an hour prior to performance. Tickets are $4 for students with I.D. and $7 for adults.
