Public Comments on UWRF Sought

FEB. 29, 2008--The public is invited to submit comments related to the quality of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and its academic programs in preparation for a visit by an evaluation team of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The North Central Association's HLC team will visit campus April 20-23 as part of the process for the consideration of re-accreditation. This is in response to the university's request for continued accreditation; it has received accreditation from NCA since 1935.

In anticipation of the April visit, UWRF has prepared a self-study report from which the NCA evaluation team will gather evidence to ensure that the self-study is thorough and accurate. The self-study report is available for public review at http://www.uwrf.edu/selfstudy/ .

Public comments should include the name, address, and telephone number of the person providing the comments. Comments must address substantive matters and be written, signed and received by March 20. The commission cannot guarantee that comments received after the due date will be considered. Comments will not be treated as confidential.
