Workforce Skills Topic of Workshop
SEPT. 14, 2007-- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Outreach and Graduate Studies Office and the River Falls Chamber of Commerce will host a workshop designed to motivate employees and offer insight on how to better succeed in a competitive market.
"Exceptional Customer Service-It's Not a Goofy Idea" is held Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Room 129 of the RDI Building on the UWRF campus from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or from 1 to 4 p.m.
This non-credit workshop is designed for anyone who works with customers or clients. Participants of this class will be able to discover secrets from companies known for their exceptional customer service and learn how to apply them to their own day-to-day business operations.
James L. Schneider, of Blue Chip Training, will present the workshop. Schneider is an experienced speaker and trainer who is noted for his enthusiastic and motivational style. He has given more than 1,800 presentations to an array of audiences ranging from volunteer groups to statewide businesses and professional associations. He is currently the community relations coordinator for a rural medical center in Southwestern Wisconsin and the co-author of "First Impressions," a program that is used by more than 500 communities nationwide.
Great customer service builds positive relationships, enthusiastic staff, and customer loyalty, says workshop coordinator Linda Jacobson, UWRF OGS program manager.
"[Customer service] is what gives others a perception of what kind of an organization or department we are," says Jacobson, who works with the public extensively through the UWRF outreach office. "Good customer service is a skill we can all hone, and in the process make our connections with others more fun and beneficial for all involved."
Cost of the half-day workshop is $69. For more information about the workshop, contact Linda Jacobson at email@example.com or 715-425-3190. To register online visit the River Falls Chamber of Commerce Web site at www.rfchamber.com .
