Spanish, French Classes Offered
SEPT. 6, 2007--If you are searching for something that expands your mind while having fun, a language class may be a great option. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is offering noncredit Spanish and French classes beginning at the end of September.
These classes will be held in early evening with convenient, free parking close to class. Classes meet weekly for six weeks. French I will be held on Tuesday evenings starting Sept. 25 and ending Oct. 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Spanish I will be held on Mondays starting Sept. 24 and ending Oct. 29 6 to 8:30 p.m.
For those who would like to continue the classes, Spanish II will be held on Mondays starting Nov. 5 and ending Dec. 10.
French instructor Gretchen Toman is currently a high school French teacher in the Twin Cities. She just returned from a summer in France and brings a wealth of language experiences.
Spanish instructor Angela Brown is a Spanish teacher at Stillwater Junior High School. She has worked as a translator for a law firm in Florida and offers many perspectives and experiences to her students.
Class participants will learn the basis of these interesting languages and obtain a greater understanding of these cultures, which is especially beneficial for future travelers. Advanced registration and course fee of $85 is required for each class and can be completed online or by mail.
