Fifteen Named Horticulture Scholars

MAY 4, 2007--Fifteen students at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls have recently been recognized as 2007 American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) Collegiate Scholars.

Universities and colleges with four-year horticulture or plant and crop programs are encouraged to nominate the top 15 percent of their upperclassman students in order to be recognized for outstanding academic achievement at the national level.

Students are then selected based upon their academic standing as a junior or senior in addition to their leadership abilities and participation in campus or club activities.

Each student honored will have his or her name published in the national ASHS newsletter and receives a certificate from ASHS.
