UW-RF Symphony Orchestra Auditions Set
AUG. 23, 2006--The Symphony Orchestra at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is inviting prospective musicians from the campus and area communities to join in an opportunity to make quality music for people of all ages.
Director Kristin Tjornejoj, an associate professor of music at UW-RF, will meet with and listen to prospective members on Monday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Abbott Concert Hall, Kleinpell Fine Arts Building at UW-River Falls
Bringing students, staff and community members together, the Symphony Orchestra provides a rich tapestry that benefits all musically and personally with the common goal of musical growth, says Tjornehoj.
Rehearsals will be Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in Abbott Concert Hall, KFA. Music will be available at the Sept. 4 auditions in preparation for the first rehearsal on Monday, Sept. 14. Concerts for the remainder of the year are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Abbott Concert Hall.
