Learning Disabilities I-TV Course Offered in Birchwood, Cameron
AUG. 18, 2006--A special course on learning disabilities will be offered through the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and broadcast via interactive television to Birchwood and Cameron, Wis. school districts and elsewhere.
"Introduction to Learning Disabilities" a three-credit graduate course, provides educators and service providers with the strategies to assist children with learning disabilities.
The course is designed for regular classroom teachers, administrators, guidance personnel, school psychologists and other educators who wish to become acquainted with issues specific to learning disabilities.
To accommodate working professionals, the class meets Mondays from 4:40 to 7:30 p.m. at UW-River Falls. Participants can elect to attend the course at the Birchwood and Cameron high schools I-TV rooms. Other distance learning sites may be available as well.
