UW-RF Students Receive Scholarships from WESTconsin Credit Union

JUNE 16, 2006--WESTconsin Credit Union recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to both a graduate student and an incoming freshman at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Gwendolyn Conklin, of River Falls, is working toward a master's degree in education - professional development. Brandon Telle, of Ellsworth, plans on attending UW-RF to study English education.

Conklin and Telle were among WCU's 15 scholarship recipients. Each year WCU awards scholarships to members and their children graduating from high school or pursuing a post-high school degree. Scholarships were awarded to members in each of WCU's seven communities -- Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond and River Falls.
