MARCH 31, 2006--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls music department offers a variety of entertainment for the month of April. All concerts are held in the William Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building on the UW-RF campus unless otherwise noted. Performances are open to the public.

Upcoming concerts in April include:

* April 8, 8 p.m. The UW-RF Jazz Ensemble I performs with guest artist Bob
Mintzer, directed by UW-RF music professor David Milne. Tickets are available
at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 9, 3 p.m. UW-RF Honors Recital. Free.

* April 9, 8 p.m. New Music Ensemble Concert directed by UW-RF music professor Patti Cudd. Free.

* April 10, 8 p.m. River Falls Brass concert will perform featuring the faculty quintet. Tickets are available at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 11, 7:30 p.m. Yair Dalal will feature the music of Israel and Egypt. Tickets are available at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 13, 3:15 p.m. Convocation Student Recital. Free.

* April 24, 3 p.m. The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will perform, directed by UW-RF music professor Kristin Tjornehoj. Guest performs include Rich Gaynor on Trombone and Randy Sabien on violin. Tickets are available at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 26, 8 p.m. UW-RF Ensembles Concert and Chamber Music Concert directed by UW-RF music professors David Milne, Pat O'Keefe and Janis Weller. Free.

* April 27, 3 p.m. Convocation Student Recital. Free.

* April 29, 8 p.m. "Jazz: A Universal Language" will be performed by UW-RF Jazz Ensembles I and II, directed by music professor David Milne. Tickets are available at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 30, 3 p.m. Spring Concert, directed by UW-RF music professors J.W. Park, Sarah Parks, and David Scholz. Tickets are available at the door. Adults $5, seniors $3, students $2, age 5 and under free.

* April 30, 5:30 p.m. Pep Band Concert, directed by UW-RF music professor Tom Barnett. Free.

* April 30, 8 p.m. Piano Ensemble Concert, directed by UW-RF music professors Carolyn Britton and Lillian Tan. Free.
