"Creating Cultures of Health" Workshop to be Held

MARCH 31, 2006--Rising health care costs are of concern across the country and in western Wisconsin. To explore that issue, a workshop titled "Creating Cultures of Health will be held on May 3, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Eau Claire, Wis.

As a continuation of the 2005 regional Synergy Conference, the day will be dedicated to addressing rising health care costs and present health care cost management initiatives as well as exhibits from healthy workforce and cost manufacturing organizations and businesses.
Workshop topics and speakers include:

"The Current State of Health and Health Care in Western Wisconsin" by Chris Queram, CEO of the Employer Health Care Alliance Cooperative; "Managing Health to Manage Costs" by Jessica Grossmeier and Lynn Henry, StayWell Health Management; "Managing Care to Manage Costs" by Dr. Michele Bachhuber, Marshfield Clinic; and

"Managing Benefits to Manage Costs" by Jeff Azen and Ali Payne, Stanton Group.
