College of Education Receives Grant for School Partnerships

MARCH 24, 2006-- The College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls has been awarded $58,540 for use in creating partnerships with local area schools.

The grant was awarded by the Wisconsin ESEA Improving Teacher Quality Program, a UW-System initiative that provides competitively based funding to institutions of higher education in Wisconsin, both public and private.

Planned use of the funding includes continuing efforts to improve teaching quality with several area schools in order to adequately prepare students for the rigors of a college education.
The grant continues funding that has been awarded to UW-RF for the past several years.
