Music Concerts Set

MARCH 10, 2006--UW-River Falls offers a rich musical line-up of concerts for the month of March. All concerts will be held in the William Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building on the UW-RF campus. All performances are free and open to the public.

Upcoming concerts during March on the UW-RF campus include:

*March 23, 8 p.m. Faculty Recital featuring Joe Hagedorn on guitar

*March 24 and 25, 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra Young Person's Concert directed by Kristin Tjornehoj, professor of music.

*March 26, 3 p.m. Piano Recital featuring 2002 River Falls High School graduate David Munkittrick on piano.

*March 30, 3:15 p.m. Convocation Student Recital.

By presenting concerts and sponsoring numerous musical events on- and off-campus, the UW-RF music department aims to provide diverse educational opportunities in music and cultural enrichment programs for the University, its students and the community.

In addition, the UW-RF music department seeks to stimulate the cultural growth of the University and community through region, national and international concert tours.
