Forensics Tourney Held at UW-RF
FEB. 24, 2006--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls hosted the Wisconsin Collegiate Forensics Association State Forensics Tournament on Feb. 17 - 18.
Ripon College, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, UW-Madison, UW-Whitewater, and Madison Area Technical College also participated in the tournament. The tournament is held annually and hosted at different sites each year. UW-Madison will host the next WCFA Forensics Tournament.
Several UW-RF forensics students placed 4th in team sweepstakes in the tourney: Back row, l to r: Adam Helbach, a senior speech communication major from Brule, Wis., and Kelly Aherns, a junior English major from New Richmond, Wis. Front row, l to r: Brooke Eglinton, a freshman speech communication major from Caledonia, Minn., and Denise Burce, a freshman agricultural education major from Alma, Wis.
Helbach also placed 3rd in dramatic interpretation, Aherns took 5th in informative speaking, and Eglinton was 6th in program oral.
