Spotlight on Upward Bound Program
FEB 10, 2006--Upward Bound Director Jill Moe of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will speak about how the nationally renowned program benefits high school and university students and faculty on Feb. 15 at 4:30 pm. in the Regents Room of the UW-RF Hagestand Student Center.
Moe's presentation is sponsored by the UW-RF Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, an international professional association for educators. It is free and open to the public.
The UW-RF Upward Bound Program works with students at Arlington High School in St. Paul. Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program that helps its participants learn the skills and motivations necessary to complete secondary education and succeed in postsecondary education.
