RED CROSS TRAINING A SUCCESS

NOV. 18, 2005-- The Red Cross volunteer training session held in late October at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls was a success, according to UW-RF Professor Ogden Rogers, who led the training.

Approximately 45 people attended the event including UW-RF students, River Falls community members and Bethel University students from St. Paul, Minn.

The event was held to prepare people in becoming a certified Red Cross disaster relief volunteer, educate students on what to expect when assisting with disaster and initiate participants in civic engagement.
