OCT. 21, 2005-- The UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center and the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network is offering a workshop, Bringing Your Technological Innovations to Life, on Nov. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. Room 320, South Hall, at UW-RF.

The workshop is geared toward owners of innovative or technology-based companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, engineers, investors and people with technology-based ideas.

Pat Dillon, the WEN director for the northwest region, will be the workshop instructor. She has consulted with hundreds of companies in the SBIR and STTR programs and helped emerging technology companies win more than $20 million in research awards.

Participants will learn the "who, what, where, when, why, and how" of federal SBIR/STTR programs and WEN assistance as well as the federal $2.2 billion Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These programs allow innovative companies to participate in the federal research and development arena by funding high risk, early-stage, innovative technologies resulting in new products and services with domestic and international markets, and with government and non-government worldwide markets.

Cost of the workshop is $49. To register visit (events calendar) or call Steve DeWald at the UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center, 715-425-0620.
