FALL MUSIC EVENTS AT UW-RF


SEPT. 30, 2005--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is offering something for every music lover this fall. All events are performed at the William Abbot Concert Hall in Kleinpell Fine Arts Building and open to the public. Tickets are available at the door unless otherwise noted.

Oct. 9, 4 p.m.-JAZZAX Saxophone Quartet featuring music faculty David Milne, Michael Walk, Pete Whitman and Greg Keel on saxophone with special guests Laura Caviani on piano and Judi Donaghy with vocals. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.

Oct. 15, 8 p.m.-"The Jazz Spectrum" is presented by UW-RF Jazz Ensembles I and II, directed by music faculty member David Milne. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.

Oct. 23, 3 p.m.- St. Croix Valley Community Orchestra conducted by music faculty member Craig Hara. Comprised of UW-RF students and area musicians, the orchestra maintains a wide repertoire. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.

Oct. 30, 3 p.m.-The Homecoming Concert features the UW-RF Choral ensembles (conducted by music faculty J.W. Parks, Sarah Parks, and David Scholz), the Alumni Choir (conducted by emeriti professor Elliot Wold), and the UW-RF Symphony Band (conducted by music faculty Craig Hara). Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.

Nov. 1, 8 p.m.-Trombone Choir and Bone-a-Fide Concert directed by music faculty member Rick Gaynor. Admission is free.

Nov. 13, 3 p.m.-UW-RF Woodwind Ensembles Concert, directed by music faculty members David Milne, Pat O'Keefe and Janis Weller. Admission is free.

Nov. 15, 8 p.m.-Brass Ensembles Concert, directed by Rick Gaynor. Admission is free.

Nov. 16, 8 p.m.-UW-RF Chamber Winds Concert, featuring UW-RF music faculty and students. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.

Nov. 20, 8 p.m.-River Falls Brass Concert, featuring UW-RF faculty members Thomas Barnett, Craig Hara, Andrew Parks, Rick Gaynor and Charles Wazanowski. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors, $2 students, and age 5 and under are free.
