SEPT. 30, 2005--Help celebrate World Year of Physics and join in on an easy to understand discussion about the incredible and mysterious phenomena in the field of quantum mechanics.   Matthew Vonk, of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls physics department, will present the "Mystery of Einstein" as part of the Community Classroom Series on Monday, Oct. 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the lower level of the River Falls Public Library.

A century ago, Albert Einstein wrote five influential papers that radically changed our understanding of the universe. One of the papers laid a foundation for the field of study that eventually became known as quantum mechanics.

Community Classroom events are sponsored by the UW-RF College of Arts and Sciences and the outreach office. All events are free, open to the public and are held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library on Division and Union streets in River Falls. No reservations are required to attend.

The next event in the Community Classroom Series will be "The Koran and The New Testament" on Monday, Nov. 14.
