Comedienne Val Kappa Performs at UW-RF
FEB. 11, 2005--Comedienne Val Kappa will perform her act at 8 p.m. March
1 in Brandy's at the Hagestad Student Center on the UW-River Falls campus.
Kappa has developed a style of comedy that is often described as dry humor.
The Boson Globe has called her "a brash motor-mouth unlike the others,"
however, she performs a clean act that is drawn from aspects of her own
life.
Kappa has performed at the Luna Lounge, PSNBC, The HA! Fest, and the Toyota
Comedy Festival and has been a semi-finalist in the Comedy Central Laugh
Riots. Most recently she appeared in an episode of "Home Movies"
on the Cartoon Network, where she did the voice of Clarisse.
This comedy performance is sponsored by the UW-RF Entertainment Committee.
It is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Student
Leadership Center at 715/425-4911 or visit www.amireentertainment.com/clients/kappa_v.php.
