Small Business Advising Offered in Polk County
JAN. 28, 2005--Free individual business advising sessions will be held
at the Polk County UW-Extension Office in Balsam Lake, Wis., from 8 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Feb. 24.
Sponsored by the Polk County UW-Extension Office and the Small Business
Development Center at UW-River Falls, the sessions will offer specialized
assistance to small business managers who might have questions on any
aspect of management as well as to those interested in starting or expanding
a new businesses.
Individual appointments are approximately 75 minutes in length. To register,
call the SBDC at 715/425-0620 by Feb. 23.
More than 300 managers of prospective and existing small business firms
have been served in the area since the start of the business advising
program. These represent a wide variety of manufacturing, retailing and
service companies, as well as individuals wishing to start new businesses.
The SBDC also offers a variety of business classes at UW-River Falls.
