JAN. 21, 2005--Three ska bands will welcome students back to camps in a Skalentine's Day show at 7 p.m., Jan. 31, in Brandy's at the Hagestad Student Center on the UW-River Falls campus. Something To Do will open for Streetlight Manifesto and the Voodoo Glow Skulls during this night of ska music.

Something To Do formed in Waukesha, Wis., from two bands that simply wanted "something to do." They have performed in venues throughout the United States and in Canada. Their first album is titled, "Naked Pigeons Inside".

The six members of Streetlight Manifesto formed from two popular New Jersey ska bands. In 2002 they signed on with Victory Records and released their debut album titled, "Everything Goes Numb."

The Voodoo Glow Skulls have been together for 16 years. During this time they have released seven albums, sold one million records, and performed in locations around the world. They reach a large audience by singing in both Spanish and English, which has been a trademark for the band since they began.

The Skalentine's Day performance is presented by the UW-RF Entertainment Committee. Admission is $3 for UW-RF students and $8 for non-students. For more information contact the Student Leadership Center at 715/425-4911.
