Player of the Week

Guard Tiffany Gregorich (Fr., Altoona, Wis.) played well for the Falcons in two WIAC games last week. She led the Falcons with 17 points and three assists in a loss to UW-Stout and led the team with a career-high seven assists in a loss to UW-Whitewater. In the two games she was 8-20 (.400) from the field, including 2-10 (.200) from behind the arc. She was 8-9 (.888) from the line for 26 points. Gregorich, 5-6, had 10 assists, five rebounds and three steals in 60 minutes of playing time. Gregorich is the team's leading scoring averaging 12.7 points a game. She also leads the team in three pointers (36), assists (63) and steals (60). She averages 2.7 rebounds a game and has three blocks.

Guard Jenna Hanson (Sr., Altoona, Wis.) helped lead the Falcons to two WIAC wins last week and recorded two career-highs in the process. Hanson, 5-6, scored a career-high 17 points in the team's 74-65 win at UW-Oshkosh. In the team's 58-56 win over UW-La Crosse, she grabbed a career-high nine rebounds. She scored a season-high three three-pointers at Oshkosh. In the two games Hanson was 9-24 (.375) from the field, including 4-9 (.444) from behind the arc. She was 4-4 at the line and finished with 26 points. She had six rebounds, three assists and four steals in 60 minutes of playing time. She has started all 23 games for the Falcons this year and is averaging 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. Hanson has 42 assists, two blocks and 39 steals.

Forward Alise Holst (Fr., Plainview, Minn., Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) played a key role in the team's two WIAC wins last week, including a 69-63 win over nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at the Karges Center. UWEC was ranked No. 5 in the D3Hoops.com and No. 6 in the USA Today ESPN Top 25 polls. Holst, 5-8, scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win over UWEC. She also had three assists, a blocked shot and led the Falcons with four steals. In the road win at UWS, she led the Falcons with 18 points and a career-high six steals. She also had two blocks and two assists. In the two games she was 12-18 (.667) from the field and 6-14 (.428) from the line for 30 points. She had 14 rebounds, seven coming on the offensive end, five assists, three blocks and 10 steals in 71 minutes of action. This year Holst is averaging 10.2 points and 7.6 rebounds a game. She has 34 assists, eight blocks and 34 steals and has started all 21 games. She leads the Falcons in rebounding and is second in scoring average.

Forward Maranda Dohrn (Fr., Lake City, Minn.) had three strong games for the Falcons last week. She scored a career-high 17 points in the team's 73-55 win over Martin Luther. She also led the team in scoring in a 75-49 loss to UW-Stevens Point, and she led the team with nine rebounds in a 61-43 loss at UW-Platteville. For the week, Dohrn, 6-0, shot 12-20 (.600) from the field and 10-12 (.833) from the line for 34 points. She had 22 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals. This year Dohrn is averaging 6.5 points and a team-best 7.8 rebounds a game. She has 14 assists, seven assists and eight steals. Dohrn has played in all 19 games off the bench.

Forward Maranda Dohrn (Fr., Lake City, Minn.) finished with a double-double in the Falcons 71-54 WIAC loss at UW-La Crosse on Wednesday. It is the first double-double of Dohrn’s career with the Falcons. She was 5-10 from the field, including 1-2 from three-point range. She was 2-4 at the line. She led all players in rebounds and finished with 11 defensive boards. This year Dohrn, 6-0, is averaging 5.6 points and 7.9 rebounds a game. She is tied for the team lead in rebounds per game. She also has 13 assists, six blocks and six steals in 16 games.

Guard Tiffany Gregorich (Fr., Altoona, Wis.) had two solid games for the Falcons last week as the team finished 1-1. In the win over UW-Superior on Wednesday at the Karges Center, Gregorich scored a game-high 26 points. And in the team’s loss at No. 6 ranked Eau Claire on Saturday she scored 10 points. In the two games she was 11-21 (.523) from the field, including 7-12 (.553) from behind the arc. She was 7-9 (.777) from the line for 36 points. She had one assist, three steals and turned the ball over just once in 53 minutes of playing time. Gregorich, who has played in all 15 games for the Falcons and comes off the bench, leads the team averaging 13.2 points a game. She also leads the Falcons with 23 three-pointers and with 31 assists. She averages 2.7 rebounds a game and has two blocks. Gregorich, 5-5, is second on the team with 30 steals.

Forward Alise Holst (Fr., Plainview, Minn., Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) played well for the Falcons in two games last week. Host, 5-8, led the Falcons in scoring in both games. In the team's win at St. Scholastica, she finished with a double-double scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. She also dished out eight assists and led the Falcons in all three categories. The 21 points and eight assists are career-highs. In the game at Whitewater she scored 16 points. In the two games she was 13-32 (.406) from the field, including 2-4 (.500) from three-point range. She was a perfect 9-9 from the line for 37 points. She had 16 rebounds, nine assists, one block and four steals in 69 minutes of playing time. Holst is second on the team in scoring (10.8) and leads in rebounding (8.6). She has 21 assists, four blocks and 16 steals.

Guard Tess Lardie (So., Eagan, Minn.) played well in the team's 78-66 loss at Hamline last week. Lardie, 5-8, played 31 minutes and finished the game with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. She shot 4-9 from the field, including 1-5 from three-point range. She was 3-4 at the line. This year Lardie is averaging 8.6 points and 2.6 rebounds a game. She has 16 assists and 11 steals.

Guard Tiffany Gregorich (Fr., Altoona, Wis.) helped the Falcons to a split in two WIAC games last week. In the team's 78-55 win over Platteville on Saturday at the Karges Center, she scored a career-high 29 points. She was 11-14 (.785) from the field, including 2-4 from three-point range and 5-6 (.833) from the line. She also led the Falcons with four assists and played only 19 minutes. In the two games she scored 33 points, had eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 35 minutes of action. Gregorich leads the team in scoring averaging 12.9 points a game. She also averages 2.6 rebounds per outing. She is tied for the team lead with 23 assists and she has one block and 15 steals.

Guard Tiffany Gregorich (Fr., Altoona, Wis.) played a key role in helping the Falcons win two games last week, including a victory in the team's first WIAC game of the year. Gregorich, 5-5, came off the bench to score 23 points in the two games finishing 10-20 from the field, including 3-9 from three-point range. She also had six rebounds, four assists and seven steals. Gregorich had three steals in a 57-43 win over Oshkosh and four against Viterbo. She led the team with 14 points and four assists in a 71-43 win over Viterbo. Gregorich currently leads the team in scoring with an 11.7 points per game average. She also averages 2.1 rebounds a game. She has 17 assists and 13 steals in seven games.

Guard Jenna Hanson (Sr., Altoona, Wis.) helped the Falcons to two wins with some very good shooting statistics last week. She finished with 14 points in the win over St. Mary's and 10 in the win over Grinnell. She led the Falcons with four assists against St. Mary's. In the two games she was 9-14 (.642) from the field, including 3-4 (.750) from three-point range. She finished 3-4 (.750) at the line and scored 24 points. Hanson, 5-6, had eight rebounds, six assists and one steal. She had just four turnovers in 46 minutes of playing time. Hanson is averaging 8.2 points and 3.6 rebounds a game this season. She is tied for the team lead with 14 assists and she has seven steals.

Forward Taylor House (Fr., Maple Grove, Minn.) had three solid games last week for the Falcons. "She played especially well considering they were the first three games of her college career," Falcon Head Coach Cindy Hovet said. In the team's first game of the season, a 63-43 win over Northwestern, House led all scorers with 12 points. She also had seven rebounds, four steals, and two blocks. Over the weekend, the Falcons played Judson and North Central at the Northwestern Tip-Off Tournament. House made a great showing against Judson with 19 points and 11 rebounds. She also had four steals and three blocks. In the game against North Central, House had 13 points and five steals. Through the course of the week, House, 5-11, shot 53 percent from the field (17-24) and 50 percent from behind the arc (2-4). She finished with 22 total rebounds, six blocks and 13 steals. "She scored, gave us a presence inside, and did a great job rebounding," Hovet said. House was named to the Northwestern All-Tournament team.
