Middle blocker Gina DeRosa (So., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS)helped the Falcons to a 2-2 record at the Elmhurst Tournament last weekend. She led the Falcons in kills in matches against Concordia (12) and Elmhurst (10). She finished with 34 kills, five digs, two solo and 11 block assists. |

Middle blocker Gina DeRosa (So., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS)played well for the Falcons in the team's three matches last week. She played in all 13 games and had 34 kills and a .200 hitting percentage. She played good defense at the net with four solo and 15 block assists. This year DeRosa is averaging 2.26 kills and a team high 1.17 blocks per game. |

Right side hitter Ashley Wheeler (Fr., Moorhead, Minn.) played five strong matches for the Falcons. Wheeler, 5-10, played in all 22 games for the Falcons and had 45 kills and a .187 hitting percentage. She had 10 assists, 15 digs, one solo and 14 block assists. This year Wheeler is averaging 1.62 kills and .55 blocks a game.

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (So., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) was the team's top player in two WIAC matches at Platteville and La Crosse last weekend. Scheele, 5-7, led the Falcons in kills in both matches and finished with 27. She had 19 in the match at La Crosse. She had a .266 hitting percentage. Scheele had one assist, two aces and 24 digs. She leads the 2007 Falcons with 290 kills and 288 digs. |

Middle blocker Gina DeRosa (So., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS) had five strong matches for the Falcons last week. She played 15 games and averaged 2.26 kills per game. She continues to play great defense and led the Falcons in blocks in three of the team's matches. She had one solo and four assists against Eau Claire, six block assists against Loras and three solo and one assist against Principia. She averaged 1.26 blocks per game. |

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (So., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) helped lead the Falcons to a 1-1 record in two WIAC matches last weekend. The Falcons opened WIAC play with a thee games to one win at Superior, but lost by the same score at home to Stevens Point. Scheele, 5-7, led the Falcons in kills in both matches finishing with 23 at Superior and 21 against Stevens Point. She averaged 5.5 kills per game and had a .390 hitting percentage. Scheele also played solid defense with 29 digs in the two matches, including 19 at Superior. She also had one assist, one ace, one solo block and one block assist. "Kelsey is just a very good player who does a great job in every phase of the game," said Falcon Coach Patti Ford. She's a very steady performer and because of that she helps many of our younger players who are in the lineup." |

Defensive specialist Drew Hample (Jr., Mahtomedi, Minn.) helped the Falcons to a 3-1 record with some outstanding play at the Ripon Tournament. She averaged just over five digs per game. She also had two assists and seven service aces. |

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (So., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) was named to the Platteville All-Tournament team after leading the Falcons in kills in four of the team's five matches. She led the Falcons in kills in all four matches at the Platteville Tournament. For the week she had 59 kills and a .180 kill percentage. She also averaged 2.88 digs per game.

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (So., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) was the team's top offensive player at the UW-Eau Claire Tournament last weekend. Scheele was named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Falcons in kills and digs in three of the team's four matches. She had 48 kills and a .262 hitting percentage. Scheele, 5-7, finished with 86 digs and averaged about 6.6 digs per game. She also had one solo and four block assists. "Kelsey did a great job and she continues to work hard in all facets of her game. She been stepping up her role for us," said Falcon Coach Patti Ford. |
