Two of Twin Cities' Best to Join
Falcon Basketball Program
May 3, 2008
Stillwater High School guard Aaron Anderson and Irondale High School guard-forward Colin Utke will attend UW-River Falls and play basketball for the Falcons, Falcon Coach Jeff Berkhof announced.
“Our recruiting class is off to a great start with these two commitments,” Berkhof said. “Both of these individuals shoot the basketball very well and are smart players that want to be very good. We expect them both to have an immediate impact on our program.”
Anderson, 6-4, was a two-time All-Conference selection in the always tough Suburban East Conference. He was also named to the Academic All-State team while averaging 16 points and five rebounds during his senior season. He finished eighth all-time in career scoring for Stillwater Head Coach Denny Bloom, a UWRF alum, with 904 points.
Utke, 6-6, averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and three blocks a game during his senior season in which he was named to the North Suburban All-Conference team. He was selected to play in the 2008 Minnesota All-Star series and holds Irondale school records for single season points, rebounds and career three-point field goals.
