
Three NCHA Players Named to All-America

Three NCHA players have been named to the CCM American Hockey Coaches Association 2005 All-America team. UW-Stevens Point forward Jackie Schmitt, UW-Superior forward Erin Kegley and UW-River Falls defenseman Jenny Wallace were all named to the first. Schmitt, a senior, was named to the second All-American team in 2003. She was named to the All-NCHA first team for four straight seasons. In 2003 she was named the NCHA's Co-Player of the Year. In 2005 she was second in scoring for the Pointers with 14 goals and 27 points. She tied for second in NCHA scoring with seven goals and 12 points. UWSP won the 2005 NCHA regular season and playoff championships. Kegley, a sophomore, was named to the first AHCA team in 2004. She was named the NCHA's Player of the Year this year. She has been named to the first All-NCHA team in 2004 and 2005. Kegley tied for second in NCHA scoring in 2005 with six goals and 12 points. She led UWS in scoring with 25 goals and 40 points. Wallace, a sophomore, was named to the first All-NCHA
team in 2005. She finished second in scoring for the Falcons with seven
goals and 20 points. She scored two goals and had six points in NCHA play. |
