NCHA Teams Prepare For Stretch Run

NCHA teams had a successful week in non-conference games and the teams are gearing up for the end of the season which is three weeks away. Lake Forest, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Superior all won two games last week while UW-River Falls won the only game it played. UWEC finished 1-1 and Finlandia was 0-2. But both of FU's losses were to UWS. UWSP (17-2-0) holds down first place in the NCHA with
a perfect 7-0-0 record and 14 points. The Pointers beat Augsburg (4-3)
and nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus (5-1) last week. UWEC (10-6-1) is in fourth place in the league with a
1-3-1 record and three points. The Blugolds beat Bethel (5-0) but lost
to St. Mary's (3-0) last week. FU is in sixth place in the league and is looking for its first NCHA win. They are 0-4-0 in league play. |
There are eight games set for this week with six games counting in the NCHA standings. On Friday in NCHA games, UWEC is at UWRF and UWSP goes to UWS in a matchup of the No. 1 and No. 3 teams. On Saturday FU is at LFC, UWEC goes to UWS and UWSP travels to UWRF in another key league game. On Sunday FU plays a second NCHA game at LFC. In non-league games, Gustavus Adolphus goes to UWS on Tuesday and UWEC is at Hamline on Wednesday. |
