2004-2005 Yellowjackets Preview The UW-Superior women’s hockey team is back and ready to compete for a second straight NCHA Championship and a chance to make it to the 2005 NCAA Frozen Four Championship. The Jackets will also look for leadership in their freshman class. Noted freshman include forward Jamie Cincotta from Centennial High School, Minnesota. Freshman Brittany Arendt will add depth to the Yellowjacket defense. Other noted freshmen include power forward Rae Hannah from Notre Dame Hockey Academy in Saskatchewan, Canada, Hally Sharrow from Superior Senior High and Gina Baranzelli from Eveleth-Gilbert High School in Minnesota. Last year’s NCHA Coach of the Year, Dan Laughlin, will be back for his second season as along with assistant Coach Rodney Graham. Laughlin anticipates an exciting and successful season. “This year’s team will now have the experience needed to compete day in and day out,” Laughlin said. |
