Lake Forest's Lindsey Wild Named
2005 Women's NCHA Scholar-Athlete

Feb. 28, 2005 Lake Forest College forward Lindsey Wild has been named the first recipient of the NCHA's women's Scholar-Athlete award. Wild, from Inver Grove Heights, Minn., has a 3.78 grade point average and is majoring in business and communications. She is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honors society for economics. She has been named to the 2004 and 2005 NCHA All-Academic team and was named a AWCHA Scholar-Athlete in 2003. Wild has earned the sophomore and junior Scholar-Athlete awards at Lake Forest. She was named to the Dean's List in 2002-03 and 2003-04. Wild earned All-NCHA honorable mention honors in 2002 and 2003 and was
named the NCHA's Player of the Week on Feb. 4, 2002. She was the Foresters'
team captain as a junior (2004) and senior (2005). She holds the school
record for assists in a season (15 in 2002) and career assists (32). She
played in 14 games this year and scored four goals and nine points. She
scored one power-play goal and one short-handed goal. In 89 career games
she has scored 16 goals and 48 points. She has scored two power-play,
two short-handed and three game-winning goals. The Scholar-Athlete award is presented to the most outstanding
senior during the year who exhibits the greatest combination of performance
and achievement in academics, athletics and leadership.
