Six Players Named to Women's

2005 All-NCHA First Team

Six players, including one who was named to the first time for the fourth time, have been named to the 2005 All-NCHA first team.

There was a six player first team, a six player second team named and 13 others who earned honorable mention in 2005.

UW-Stevens Point forward Jackie Schmitt was named to the first team for the fourth season. She was joined on the first team by UW-Superior's Erin Kegley and UW-River Falls' Lou Paulson, who both were named to the first team in 2004. Schmitt and Kegley finished second in scoring in NCHA games with 12 points each. Schmitt, who was named the NCHA's Co-Player of the Year in 2003, scored seven goals and Kegley six. Paulson finished with six goals and seven points.

UW-Superior defenseman Nadine Aubin was named to the first team for the second straight season. Joining her on the first team is UW-River Falls' Jenny Wallace. Aubin scored one goal and had two points in 2005 while Wallace finished with two goals and six points.

UW-Stevens Point goalie Amy Statz was named to the first team. She earned honorable mention to the 2004 team. She led the NCHA with a 0.92 goals against average and tied for the league lead in saves percentage with .943.

The teams are selected by a vote from the NCHA coaches.
