Six members of the Falcon women's hockey team have been named to 2007 All-NCHA teams. Defender Jenny Wallace (Sr., Buffalo, Minn.), forward Jenna Scanlon (So., Apple Valley, Minn.) and goalie Amber Lindner (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) were named to the first team. Forwards Cassie LeBlanc (Fr., Anoka, Minn.) and Stefanie Schmitz (Fr., Farmington, Minn) and defender Jessie Dyslin (So., South St. Paul, Minn.) all earned honorable mention. Wallace was named to the first team in 2005 and 2006. Lindner was named to the first team in 2003. Scanlon earned honorable mention in 2006. Wallace, who was a AHCA first team All-American in 2005 and 2006, played all 25 regular season games and finished the season with five goals and six assists for 11 points. She scored two power-play goals and a short-handed goal. Scanlon also placed in all 25 regular season games and tied for the team lead with 21 points. She scored 11 goals and 10 assists. She scored three power-play goals and one game-winner. The 11 goals tied for the team lead. Lindner played the bulk of the minutes in goal for the 2007 Falcons. She played in and started 22 games and finished the regular season with a 1.79 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. She had an 11-7-4 record with three shutouts. She recorded shutouts against Augsburg (3-0), Eau Claire (1-0) and Finlandia (6-0). LeBlanc, one of three freshmen to earned honorable mention in 2007, played in all 25 regular season games and finished third in scoring with seven goals and 13 assists. The 13 assists lead the Falcons. She scored one power-play goal and two game-winners. She recorded a hat trick in the team's 4-1 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 10. LeBlanc played in all 25 regular season games. Schmitz, another of the three freshmen to earn honorable mention in 2007, lead the team with 12 goals and tied for the team lead with 21 points. She led the Falcons with three power-play goals and tied for the team lead with three game-winning scores. She recorded a hat trick in a 5-3 win over Finlandia on Jan. 28. She played in all 25 regular season games. Dyslin finished the regular season with two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. She scored one power-play goal and one game-winner. She played in all 25 regular season games. The Falcons ended the regular season with 14-7-4 overall and 9-4-2 NCHA records. The Falcons finished just one point out of first place in the final NCHA standings. |
