April 26, 2004

Track
Shannon Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.)
had a strong meet at the Macalester Invitational held Saturday in St. Paul. She won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 64.58 and ran a 58 second anchor leg on the 4x400 meter relay team. The Falcons finished in 4:11.35 and placed second.

Field
Haylee Hall (Sr., Shell Lake, Wis.)
had some fine performances in field events at the Macalester Invitational held Saturday in St. Paul.: She placed fourth in the discus
with her best toss of the season, 39.72-meters. She also threw the hammer 35.83-meters and placed 14th.

 

April 19, 2004

Track
Katie Mitchell (Cordova, Md. Easton HS) had some strong races at the Blugold Open held Saturday at UW-Eau Claire. She won the 200 meters race in 26.8. She had a two-second improvement in her split for the winning 4x400 relay team. The team finished in 4:02.43.

Field
Steph Dura (Sr., Peshtigo, Wis.)
won the shot put at the Blugold Open held Saturday at UW-Eau Claire. She improved her national ranking with a throw of 43-2 1/4. She also placed sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 122-7 and sixth in the discus with a 129-7 effort.

April 12, 2004

Track
Jill Crandall (So., Roseville, Minn.)
had some excellent efforts at the Lee Krough Invitational held Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College. She placed second in the 400 with a time of 59.2 and led off the 1600 meter relay with a split time of 59.1. She also won the high jump and qualified for nationals with a leap of 5-6.

Field
Jen Leis (Sr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS)
helped the Falcons with some high finishes in field events at the Lee Krough Invitational held Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College. She qualified for the NCAA National Championships in two events. She won the hammer with a throw of 156-8 and placed third in the discus with a throw of 140-3.

 

April 5, 2004

Track
Shannon Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.)
had a strong effort in her first collegiate outdoor meet at the Norse Invitational held in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday. She finished first in the 400 hurdles in 66.06.

Field
Jen Leis (Sr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS)
started the outdoor season strong with a first place finish in the hammer throw at the Norse Invitational held in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday. She threw the hammer 145-5 and placed first.

 

March 1, 2004

Track
Shannon Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.) competed in her first collegiate meet and did well at the St. Olaf Invitational held Friday in Northfield, Minn. She placed third in the 400 meters in 60.56. "She ran in a slower heat and had a great race," Falcon Coach Don Glover said. She came back later and ran a 60 400 with the Falcon 4x400 relay team.

Jill Crandall (So., Roseville, Minn.)
had another strong meet for the Falcons at the St. Olaf Invitational held Friday in Northfield, Minn. Crandall won the high jump with a leap of 5-5 1/4 and placed second in the 400 in 59.79.



Feb. 23, 2004

Track

Amy Schultz (Sr., Schofield, Wis. D.C. Everest HS) had two strong runs for the Falcons at the Blue Deevil Open held Friday in Menomonie. She placed third in the 800 in 2:29.46 and was the lead off runner for the winning 4x400 Falcon relay team. The team finished in 4:13.48.

Field

Kiah Sagami (So., Mazomanie, Wis.) had two strong efforts in the field events at the Blue Devil Open held Friday in Menomonie. She placed first in the long jump, with a leap of 16-1 1/2, and fifth in the high jump with a leap of 4-9 1/2.

Feb. 16, 2004

Track
Marian Christen (Sr., Sauk Centre, Minn.)
had a solid race in the 1,000-meter event at the Coca Cola Invitational held Saturday at the Knowles Building. She placed second in the race and finished in 3:09.

Field
Gina Anderson (So., Deer Park, Wis.)
provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div, III Indoor Championships in the pole vault on Saturday at the Coca Cola Invitational held Saturday at the Knowles Building. She placed fifth overall with a leap of 10-6 3/4.

 

Feb. 9, 2004

Track
Tiff Reber (Jr., Mantorville, Minn. (Kasson-Mantorville) had three strong runs at the MUS-Mankato Open held Saturday. She placed 6th in both the 60 dash and 60 hurdles. She finished the dash in 8.29 and the hurdles in 9.59. She also lowered her time in the 200 to 27.59.

Field
Jill Crandall (So., Roseville, Minn.)
had another solid meet in the high jump at the MSU-Mankato Open. She placed in a tie for third with a leap of 5-4 1/2.

Feb. 2, 2004

Track
Katie Mitchell (Sr., Cordova, Md. Easton HS) ran two strong races at the Husky Open held Saturday in St. Cloud. She finished fourth in the 200 in 27.32 and fifth in the 60 in 8.22. It was her first meet since a stress fracture in a leg.

Field
Steph Dura (Sr., Peshtigo, Wis.) had two excellent finishes at the Husky Open held Saturday in St. Cloud. She won the shot put with a toss of 42-8 3/4 and placed fourth in the weight throw with a 43-11 1/2 effort.

 

Jan. 26, 2004

Track
Sara Rudesill (Jr., River Falls, Wis.)
had a solid run for the Falcons in the team's first meet of the season at the Blugold Open. She placed fourth in the 800 in 2:33.03.

Field
Jennifer Leis (Sr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div. III National Meet in the weight throw at the Blugold Open. She finished second with a toss of 15.02-meters.
