Mitch Coffman is back for his senior season with the Falcons. He played in 16 games during the 2003-04 season, seeing limited action averaging five minutes per game. During the 2002-03 season, Coffman played in 14 games, starting the last eight. He averaged nine minutes of action while pulling down 2 rebounds per game. He joined the Falcon program as a walk-on in 2002-03. He attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School. He is majoring in land use planning. He is the son of James and Karon and has two brothers, Jeremy and Adam.

Mitch Coffman

Jeff Holt is the lone returning starter from last year’s WIAC Championship team. This will be his fifth year in the Falcon program after red-shirting during the 2000-01 season. In 2003-04 Holt played in all 27 games starting in 18. He averaged 3.9 points and 2 rebounds while averaging 16 minutes per contest. His best game in the 2003-04 season was Jan 3, against Whitewater, when he scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds. During the 2002-03 season, Holt appeared in 20 games averaging close to eight minutes per game. He contributed 13 points against Viterbo on Dec. 14, 2002 He attended Elmwood High School where he was named All-Conference three times, averaging 15 points per game as a senior. He was chosen to play in the Red Cross All-star game. A marketing communications major, who will graduate this May, Holt worked as an intern this past summer with the Kansas City Chiefs and their training camp. He is the son of Jerry and Jayne and has one brother Ryan.

Nick Hall is in his third year with the Falcons after red-shirting his first year with the Falcons in 2002-03. Hall saw limited action in 2003-04 playing in nine games. Hall enjoyed a great career at Glenwood City High School helping the Hilltoppers to the 2001 Wisconsin State Championship and a 26-1 record his junior season. His senior season he averaged 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Hall was part of two conference championship teams and was named All-Conference his senior season Hall is majoring in math education. He is the son of Neil and Terry and has one sister, Jesa and one brother, Scott, who is a manager with the Falcons.

Nick Hall

Hans Hoeg returns for his second season after making key contributions to last year’s WIAC Championship team. Hoeg saw action in 25 games starting in four. He averaged 22 minutes while scoring 5.3 and grabbing 3 rebounds per contest. Hoeg had his career high in his second collegiate game scoring 16 points at Puget Sound on Nov. 22, 2003. Hoeg enjoyed an outstanding high school career at Lichfield, Minn., winning two state Class 2A championships and being named to the All-State tourney team in 2002 and 2003. He was chosen to the All-Area team twice and earned All-conference honors three times. He averaged 14 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Dragons. Hoeg is majoring in business. He is the son of Tom and Beth and has one sister.

Eric Kossoris enters his third season with the Falcon program after red-shirting in 2002-03. As a freshman, Kossoris saw limited action early in the 2003-04 season, but was one of the main contributors to the Falcon conference championship run late in the season. Kossoris played in 21 games and averaged close to 10 minutes per contest. On Feb. 17, 2004 against conference rival UW-Stout, Kossoris had career highs in points with 11 and rebounds with five and had four steals. Kossoris played at Waukesha South High School earning three letters as a two-year starter. He averaged 15 points, four rebounds and two assists a game his senior year in which he was named second team All-Conference. Kossoris is majoring in elementary education and is the son of Carole and Tom, who are both in education. He has one sister, Erin.

Eric Kossoris

Dan Torrez will play his senior season with the Falcons after starting his collegiate career with Concordia University – St. Paul. His junior season at C-SP was cut short with a season ending knee injury. Torrez enjoyed an outstanding high school career at Green Bay Southwest. The guard averaged 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists a game his senior year while being named to the Fox Valley All-Conference and the Green Bay All-Metro teams. The Trojans finished 20-2 in his senior season and won the Fox River Valley Conference title. He was a two-year starter and earned two letters. Torrez is the son of Tina and Bob and he has two brothers. He is majoring in secondary education social studies.

Muris Lucarevic is in his first year with the Falcons after earning an associate of arts degree in June, 2004 from Minneapolis Community & Technical College. He was born in Zenica, Bosnia and came to America with his family in 1999. He is a 2001 graduate of Richfield, Minn., High School where he averaged nine points and six rebounds a game. He helped MCTC to a 24-4 record in 2003 and a 25-3 record in 2004. At MCTC he played behind Mike Kinsella who is now playing at Marquette. He is the son of Hasna and Ismet and has one brother. Lucarevic is majoring in geography.

Alex Maas is in his first year with the Falcons. During the 2003-04 season, Maas played at Mesabi, Minn., Community College where he started and helped Mesabi win the Minnesota State Junior College Championship. During the 2002-03 season, Maas saw limited action at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. He was four-year letter winner and starter at Northwood High School. He averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals a game. The Evergreens finished 21-4 in his senior season. Northwood advanced to the Sectional finals in his senior year. He is the son of Theresea and Rick Maas and has one brother and one sister. Maas is majoring in math and health & human performance.

Hector Marchand is in his first year with the Falcons after transferring from Valparaiso University. He was a two-year starter and letter winner at Valparaiso High School. Marchand was named to the first all-conference team and played in the Northwest Indiana East-West All-Star game. He was named to the All-Area team after averaging 15 points, six rebounds and three assists a game. The Vikings finished 21-5 and won the conference and sectional titles. They were a Sweet 16 State participant and won the Michigan City Holiday Tournament title. He is the son of Debra and Hector and has two sisters and one brother. Marchand is majoring in biology and plans to attend medical school.

Ryan Zylstra was a 2003-04 red-shirt for the Falcons. At Annandale, Minn., High School he earned two letters and was a two-year starter. He averaged 17 points, 10 rebounds and one assists for the Cardinals. Zylstra was named to the all-conference team and was named his team's Most Valuable Player. He twice helped lead the team to the Sectional finals. He is the son of Darlene and Dave and has one brother and three sisters. He is majoring in business.

Cory Rondeau returns to the Falcons in 2005 after red shirting last year. He averaged 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks a game at Grand Rapids, Minn., High School. He helped lead Grand Rapids to two conference titles and a third place finish in the Minnesota State tourney in 2002. He played in the Area All-Star game. He is the son of Kelly and Timothy. He has one brother and one sister. Rondeau is majoring in conservation.

Joey Cowley joins the Falcons from Northwestern High School. He was twice named to the all-conference team and earned All-State honorable mention honors. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds and five assists a game in his senior season. Joey was a WIAA Scholar-Athlete and played on the Division 3 North All-Star team. His team won the conference championship and advanced to the section finals last year. He was named to the Superior Daily-Telegram All-Area team. Cowley was a three-year starter and letter winner. He is the son of Judy and Dan. His father was his coach at Northwestern. Both of his parents are teachers. He is majoring in health & human performance.

Tyler Haag joins the Falcons for the first time in 2005. At Annandale, Minn., High School he averaged 14 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Cardinals. He earned three letters and was a three-year starter. The Cardinals finished 20-4 in 2004, won the conference championship and played in the Minnesota State Tournament. Haag was named the St. Cloud Times Player of the Year and was named to the all-conference team. He earned honorable mention to the All-State team and was voted his team's Most Valuable Player. He is the son of Terri and Todd and has one sister and one brother. He is majoring in broadcast journalism.

Tim Pearson is a freshman from Eau Claire, Wis. Playing for the Memorial Old Abes Tim was academic All-Big Rivers and honorable mention All-Conference. Majoring in pre-medicine, Tim’s career plans are to become a pediatrician. He is majoring in chemistry and biology. Tim is the son of Leslie and Thomas. Pearson has two brothers and four sisters.

Scott Kelly will play forward and is in his first year with the Falcons in 2005. At Hastings High School he averaged 15 points and six rebounds a game in 2004. He was a three-year letter winner and a two-year starter for the Raiders. Scott quarterbacked the HHS State runner up football team. Kelly was twice named to the all-conference team. He was named to the A Honor Roll for four years. He is the son of Julie and Mike and has one sister. He is majoring in business administration.

Ryan Thompson

Viroqua High School

Ryan Thompson is a freshman from Viroqua High School. At Viroqua Ryan was a three time MVP and Player of the year in the Coulee Conference his senior year. Thompson reached the elite 1,000-point mark in scoring averaging 18 points a game and over five assists leading VHS to a 19-4 record his senior season. Thompson was a member of the Viroqua National Honor Society. Ryan is majoring in math education. His goal is to be a math teacher and basketball coach. He is the son of Marla and Kevin. Kevin works for the US Postal Service. Marla is an elementary school teacher. He has a younger sister, Jenna.
