Falcon halfback John Peterlik (Jr., Cadott, Wis.) has been named
to the D3Football.Com Team of the Week.
Peterlik played a key role in helping lead the Falcons to a 44-21 win
over UW-Platteville Saturday with one of the top rushing performances
in Falcon football history. He carried the ball 33 times and finished
with 324 rushing yards. He scored four touchdowns on runs of 45, 39, 30
and 3-yards. He averaged 9.8 yards a carry. He also caught one pass for
18 yards and was 1-1 passing for 28 yards. The 324 yards is third most
in a single game in Falcon history. Only Jim Baier (370 yards vs. Stevens
Point in 1966) and Dave Bednarek (342 yards vs. Stevens Point in 1983)
have rushed for more yards in a single Falcon game.
Earlier in the week he was named the WIAC's Offensive Player of the Week.
