UW-Superior and UW-River Falls both swept NCHA series last weekend and UWS climbed into first place in the league standings with the wins.

UWS topped St. Scholastica twice, 7-2 and 4-1, to improve to 9-0-3 overall and 3-0-1 in NCHA play. The Jackets have seven points and have outscored their league opponents by 20-9.

UWRF is in second place after the Falcons swept two games from UW-Stout - 5-1 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday. The Falcons, 8-2-2 overall, are 3-1-0 in league play and have six points.

In the other NCHA series last weekend, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Eau Claire split with both teams winning on home ice. UWSP took Friday's game, 7-3, and UWEC rebounded on Saturday to win, 4-2.

UWSP (6-4-2) is in third place in the league standings with a 2-1-1 record and five points. UWEC is tied with St. Norbert for fourth place. UWEC (8-5-1) is 1-2-1 in league play while SNC (9-2-2), which was idle last weekend, is 1-0-1 for three points.

UWSt (5-5-1) and Lake Forest (7-4-3), which was also idle last weekend, are tied for sixth place in the NCHA standings. UWSt is 0-2-2 and LFC is 1-1-0 - both teams have two points. CSS (3-6-2) is 0-4-0 in NCHA play.

Only two games will be played yet in December. LFC travels to the Norwich, Vt., Tourney on Dec. 30-31. The Foresters will play Manhattenville on Dec. 30 and a yet to be determined opponent on New Year's eve.
