(So., Alden, Minn., Alden-Conger H.S.) had four strong outings in the UW-River Falls Trick or Treat Classic. She accumulated 41 kills over the course of the weekend, 19 of those were against Marian. "She continues to play strong," said Falcon head coach Patti Ford. "She's one of the most humble players on the court. She just does her job and plugs forward as far as attacking the ball and blocking the ball. She gives us a big advantage at the net."

Caroline Schwane
a senior from Kasson, Minn., tallied 57 kills, 3.16 per game; 64 digs, 3.5 per game; eight blocks and seven aces this past week. She did this in a week where the Falcons faced 4 regionally ranked schools. "Her desire is unbelievable and courageous," Falcon head coach Patti Ford said.

Caroline Schwane
, a senior from Kasson, Minn., led the Falcons in kills during the UW-Stevens Point match by tallying 12. Against the St. Thomas Tommies she flexed her defensive game and dug up 11 digs while leading the Falcons in that area of the match. "Carrie Schwane continues to stay strong offensively and defensively," Falcon head volleyball coach Patti Ford said. "Her court leadership gives the Falcons an advantage in every match."

(Jr., Mountain Lake, Minn.) led the Falcons to a 3-0 week with wins over UW-Eau Claire, Bethel and Macalester. "Her outstanding blocking gives UW-River Falls an advantage in every match," Falcon coach Patti Ford said. "She is the intangible offensively."

Sara Tibesar
(Sr., St. Paul, Minn. St. Agnes H.S.) had three good matches for the Falcons. In 10 games she had 26 kills and a .253 hitting percentage. She also had 10 assists, 21 digs, once service ace and nine block assists. She was named the WIAC Player of the Week.

Melissa Mattson
(So., Alden, Minn. Alden-Conger H.S.) led the Falcons to the Eau Claire tourney title last weekend. She had 51 kills and a .421 hitting percentage in the tourney. She also had four blocks and six block assists. Mattson had 13 kills and a .434 hitting percentage against Stevens Point which is ranked No. 4 in the region. She had 19 kills and a .500 hitting percentage against Eau Claire which is ranked No. 5 in the region.

(So., Woodbury, Minn. Woodbury H.S.) led the Falcons to two WIAC wins last week. She had 83 assists, 14 digs, five block assists, two aces and eight kills. "Holly did a nice job of running our offense," coach Patti Ford said.

(So., Alden, Minn. Alden-Conger H.S.) helped the Falcons to a 5-1 record last week and the Illinois Wesleyan tournament championship. She had 37 kills and a .400 kill percentage. She had two solo and 11 block assists. "Melissa led to to a 5-1 record and had great net play," coach Patti Ford said.

Sara Tibesar
(Sr., St. Paul, Minn. St. Agnes H.S.) dominated on the court in the 1998 UW-Platteville Invitational with 46 kills for a .291 hitting percentage. She averaged 3.02 kills a game. She also finished with four service aces and defensively was able to come up with 33 digs and seven blocks. Tibesar had a "steady performance," said Coach Patti Ford.
